We’re also very excited to partner with ToonBoom and greatly appreciate their support of our scholarship fund as well as their innovative software and training access, which demonstrates their commitment to the education and training of new and diverse talent. We’re so fortunate to have Animation Mentor bring their vast teaching experience to our student membership in this way. Animation Mentor is the premium mentoring program for our industry, providing years of success in training a new source of talent that can expand WIA’s own mentoring program. WIA is so excited to have Animation Mentor and Toon Boom partner with us on our scholarship program.

On top of this the company will be providing one-on-one remote training and an additional scholarship contribution of $2000 to be divided among the three selected recipients Toon Boom will be awarding each of the finalists a one-year bundled license for their industry standard packages Storyboard Pro and Harmony Premium. On offer from Animation Mentor will be a six-week workshop of $699-$899 value from which the awardee will be able choose from several offered courses including Maya Workshop/Animation Basics for Beginners, Game Animation Fundamentals, Intermediate Storyboarding and Pre-Viz Basics for Animators among others. The scholarship is open to student applicants from all over the world who are presently exploring and pursuing animation in an academic context. Animation Mentor and Toon Boom are this year partnering with Women in Animation to enhance their ongoing WIA Scholarship Program, contributing to its established cash prize with additional workshops and software packages respectively.
